A De-Construction Kit™ is the opposite of a construction kit. A construction kit comes with lots of pieces and instructions for making models. A De-Construction Kit comes with a model that is complete, cleverly broken, or partially complete. It has instructions that guide you to explore, change, fix, or complete it.
For example, a kit to help people learn about gears, springs, and basic audio could be a Fisher-Price® Music Box with instructions to:
- Explore a complete one
- Debug a broken one
- Complete one with missing parts
You can do lots of things as you take apart a De-Construction Kit! For example, you can explain, find, fix, label, select, unscramble, categorize, compare, and test them.
